| SIRACUSA RACECOURSE | ||
| Ippodromo di Mediterraneo is situated on the island of Sicily some 12 miles from Siracusa. The track has a circumference of 2200 metres but also has an inside turf course of 1800 metres. | ||
The course hosts 3 Listed races annually, all run in December. The Criterium del Mediterraneo is for 2 year olds and is run over 1600 metres. In 2013 the Giuseppe Cannarella ridden Super Coach beat Sir Gin and Sole Marino. The Premio Memorial Francesco Faraci is run over 2200 metres for 3 year olds and upwards. |
